Signs & Mixed Signals
Is He Losing Interest or Just Stressed?
How to distinguish reduced interest from stress without guessing at another person's motives.
Editorial approach: We focus on observable patterns, direct communication and personal boundaries. We do not diagnose people from a distance or promise that a tactic can control another person's feelings.
Look for a cluster, not one clue
Reduced contact, vague plans, less affection or less curiosity can matter when they appear together and persist. Any single sign can have ordinary explanations.
Behavior is more useful than mind-reading
Instead of asking what a delayed text secretly means, look at the broader pattern: Does he initiate? Make plans? Follow through? Repair misunderstandings? Include you in his life?
Ask for clarity when the change matters
A simple observation and question is often more informative than weeks of decoding: mention the change, say how it affects you, and ask whether anything has shifted for him.
Keep your own standards visible
Understanding another person is useful, but it should not erase your needs for consistency, respect and clarity.
